Why Thank You- Card sketch #92

February seems to be flying by and it is already time again for our last sketch of the month at Sketch N Scrap!  I am super excited to share my sketch with you, here it is:

And here is my take on the sketch:

Supplies Used: Card stock: Stampin' Up Vanilla, Watermelon Wonder & chocolate chip; Patterned Papers: We R Memory Keepers, Echo Park & Crate Paper; Vellum- Stampin' Up; Punches: Stampin' Up Scallop Circle & 1.25 inch circle; Ink: Stampin' Up Early Espresso; Stamp- Stampin' Up; sticker (bee): Pebbles, Inc.

I used up a lot of scraps from my 100 paper challenge and from my scrap bin on this one!  The only thing that wasn't a scrap was the pink paper, it is from my newest Crate Paper 6x6 pad (Cute girl), I was wanting a pop of pink and there was none that matched in my scrap bin, so I had to use a new piece, but still I am thrilled to use up so many scraps!  Plus the sticker is part of one I have in my "bash it" basket- I have 15 sticker sheets that I hope to use up by March 31st when I am going to "refill" my bash it basket/box!  I had hoped to make a number of cards using this sketch but ran out of time this weekend, maybe I can still get a few made this week, as I need some more birthday cards for the first week in March!  I hope you were able to get your craft on this past weekend and hope your Monday goes well!  Make sure and hop over to the Sketch N Scrap blog to see what the DT did with this sketch, there is some great inspiration for you there!  You have until February 28th to play along with us this month and our online crop is still going on until tomorrow at midnight, so check it out too!  I can't wait to see what you create!  Happy crafting!

Sketch N Scrap card sketch #91

Happy February!  I hope your new year is off to a great start!  We have our first card sketch of the month up at Sketch N Scrap today.  This amazing sketch is brought to us by Heather:

And here is my take on the sketch:
Supplies Used: Card stock: Stampin' Up- Very Vanilla, gold metallic & Night of Navy; Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Posh; Die cut (sentiment)- Simple Stories Posh

I really love this sketch, it is so versatile and my card came together so quickly!  I love this line from Simple Stories, it was a birthday gift from my friend Lori and I have had so much fun using it!  I didn't even use a sticker or a stamp on this one, unusual for me but I think it will be a great encouragement card for a dear friend going through a rough time right now!  We all need uplifting and encouragement every now and then don't we?  I am doing pretty good on my quest to send more card this year, I had a rocky start but thanks to my new Happy Planner (another amazing birthday gift from my SIL and brother- gosh I'm so blessed!) I recovered and am back on track for February!!!  I hope you will join us this month at Sketch N Scrap, there is plenty of time to play along (you have until February 28th to enter our prize draw).  I can't wait to see what you create!
