Thank you very much-Sketch N Scrap #96

Welcome to our last sketch for April!  Wow, has the time flown by this month or what? I was lucky to squeeze in a lot of crafty time this past month, let's hope May is even better!  After all you can never have to much crafty time!
Here is our last card sketch of April for Sketch N Scrap.

Here is my take on the sketch:

Supplies Used: Card stock- Stampin Up Watermelon Wonder & Whisper White; Patterned Paper- Echo Park and Lawn Fawn; stickers: Pebbles Inc; Pearls: Kaisercrafts; ink: Stampin' Up Watermelon Wonder; stamp- Stampin' Up; embossing folder- dots by Stampin' Up.
I really wanted to design a Spring card and I love the color combo of the yellow & the watermelon!  It screams Spring! I hope you will be able to join us at Sketch N Scrap & play along with this sketch or one of our others before the month ends!  You have until April 30th at 9:55 CST to submit your entries for a chance to win our Pinkfresh Prize package!  And don't forget we will be starting our month long celebration on May 1st to kick off Sketch N Scrap's fifth birthday bash!!!  Lots of fun things coming up!  Happy creating!

Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style Guest Designer

TGIF!!!  I am so ready for the weekend how about you?  I am looking forward to spending time with my family this Easter weekend and making some wonderful memories.  I am so excited to share with you today some fun projects I created for my guest designer spot at the Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style blog!  The sketch I was given to work with is by Majo.  I loved the simplicity of this very versatile sketch!  Here is the sketch:

Here is the card I created based on the sketch:
I made my card a square to go with the pictures I was using so I ended up using four strips of patterned paper on my card element instead of three patterned paper strips as shown on the sketch.
And here is the layout I used my card element on:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: CTMH; Patterned Paper: Elle's Studio, Crate Paper& Echo Park; die cuts: Crate Paper; sticker: Crate Paper; enamel dots: My Mind's Eye; letter stickers: American Crafts thickers.

This layout was created as companion page to a layout I had created a while back.  At the time I thought there was only the one picture as this is a picture of my niece texted to me by my sister but then I found out there were more photos, so I decided to create another layout to go with the first one!  Here are both layouts together:

I truly enjoyed working with this fun sketch and as I was creating my layout I thought that it would make a great greeting card as well.  So since I can always use just basic greeting cards I decided to create a card with some beautiful Spring colors!  Here is the card I created based on the sketch:
Supplies Used: Card stock: Stampin' Up whisper white; Ink: Memento Black; Stamp: Stampin' Up; Pattered Paper: Echo Park, Crate Paper & We R Memory Keepers; sticker: Echo Park; enamel dots: My Mind's Eye; die cut: Fancy Pants.

I know you will love to see what the other DT members did with this amazing sketch, don't forget to go check out all the inspiration at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style!  I know they would love to have you play along and they have an amazing prize up for grabs as well!  Happy creating!

Find Joy in the ordinary- Sketch N Scrap #95

Well, it's a new month and time for another sketch at Sketch N Scrap! This card sketch was a lot of fun to work with and if you love banners then you will love this amazing sketch created by Heather!  Here is her sketch:

And here is my card inspired by the sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Stampin' Up Very Vanilla & Basic Black; Patterned Paper: Crate Paper; sticker (find joy) Paper Studio; die: Scallop circle from Stampin' Up.

This card came together quickly by just using up a sticker that I had laying on my desk and then digging through my 100 paper challenge drawer and pulling out scraps that matched it!  I love it and I adore this sentiment!! I am going to share it with one of my bible study friends, we have been talking about finding joy and I know she will love it!!! I haven't decided what sentiment to include on the inside yet, I may just write a personal note and have no sentiment depending on how I am feeling when I send it out!  I hope you will be inspired enough to play along with us this month! There is plenty of time to play along with us at Sketch N Scrap, make sure and hop on over to see the beautiful cards the DT made, you will be inspired!  Happy creating!
