Hi friends! Things are getting busy on the blog today, this is my second post to share with you for today!  WOW! I love creating and most of all sharing my creations with other like minded paper crafters.  Today I am excited to announce I have joined the DT of Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style challenge blog!  I have always loved the idea of pocket scrapbooking but hadn't really done much of it so I am very excited to be invited to be part of such a talented group of ladies!  I am also excited that starting in July I will also be designing sketches for them as well!  What would I do without my sketches?!!!!  Here is the fun sketch by Susanne Brauer that I used for today's project:

And here is my PL card using the sketch:

Here is my completed layout using the card based on the sketch:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Scenic Route (grid), Echo Park Little Boy; Echo Park Sunny Days Ahead; Cardstock: Stampin' Up: Really Red, Daffodil Delight & Pumpkin Pie; Letter Stickers: American Craft Thickers (foam), Echo Park  Splendid Sunshine (navy), MLS (mini red) & Authentique (grey); Enamel Dots: My Mind's Eye; Wood Veneer: Queen & Co; stickers: Echo Park Sunny Days Ahead (sun) & Echo Park I love Sunshine(Banner); Word stickers: Jillibean Soup Watermelon Gazpacho; Die Cut: Hello Sunshine and sunglasses strip by Elle's Studio; PL style pre-printed card: Elle's Studio (JUNE);
This is going to be a second page to go with another layout I created a few years back about this same trip....I was having a hard time including all these photos on a second page and figured a pocket style page was the way to go!  I love how it turned out!  I am going to add the journaling to my Details of our Trip card tonight to finish the layout then into my album it will go!  Feels so good to have another layout complete! I hope you will join us again at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style in July when I reveal my first PL sketch!!!  Make sure and visit the Sketches in Thyme PL Style blog to see all the other designers take on the sketch as well as to see some more amazing sketches to use in your pocket scrapping!  And to sweeten the deal if you play along they have an amazing prize up for grabs this month! Card sketch #99~ Hello

Happy Monday!  I was kind of doing that dreading Monday on Sunday thing when I decided to do a little craft therapy and whipped up this card using the awesome new sketch by Heather!  This is definitely one I can see myself using over and over again!  Here is Heather's sketch:

 Here is my take on the sketch:

Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Crate Paper Brook, Fancy Pants Life is Beautiful & Stampin' Up; Cardstock: Stampin' Up (Pool Party & Very Vanilla); Enamel Dots: My Mind's Eye; Ink: Stampin' Up Early Espresso; stamp: Stampin' Up Gorgeous Grunge; Punch: border scallop by Stampin' Up & Die cut label (Hello): unknown

I received this cute little label that said "Hello" in a swap this weekend and it was still on my desk, so when I was looking to make a card for this sketch it was perfect for the sketch and inspired the colors of this card!  I then went right to my scraps drawer and found ALL these papers there that coordinated with the brown and yellow label!  In fact I have used up basically ALL of this Crate Paper Brook line!  I may have one very small piece left but that is it!  These were part of my 100 paper challenge that I said I would use in like 6 months but in all reality it will be more like a YEAR!!!  Now in all honesty I am using mostly other papers but I have been able to use some of these poor neglected papers that I have put in a special drawer. I do plan to clean it out this Fall and donate what is left and then go through my paper once again and add another 100 pieces to my drawer!  I really liked these colors and I am sad to see this paper go but it's not like I don't have a bunch more to take it's place!!!  I hope you will find time to play along with us this month at Sketch N Scrap, the DT did an amazing job with this sketch, so make sure and hop on over and check out what they did with the sketch! Happy creating!
